Founded in Japan in 2019 after approximately four years of research and development into the differences between Western and Japanese foot structures, RIG FOOTWEAR specializes in recovery sandals designed for comfort, particularly for Japanese feet. Ideal for relaxing after work or exercise, these sandals are also suitable for everyday wear. Their cushioned soles help reduce impact on the feet and lower body compared to firmer sandals.

Blocks Cold Air and Keeps Feet Warm
The upper features synthetic insulation that helps keep cold air out. A water-repellent finish provides practical protection against light rain and snow while allowing moisture to escape, helping prevent excessive heat and moisture buildup inside.



The inner lining features a heat-generating brushed material that provides warmth from the moment you slip them on. By warming the feet and promoting circulation, it also helps gently relieve fatigue associated with cold feet.





A Supportive Design for Easy On and Off
The shoes feature a lace lock system that lets you adjust the fit with a single touch, without the need to tie shoelaces. Compared to previous models, the adjustment range has been expanded, allowing you to fine-tune the fit further toward the toe for a more personalized feel.



The adjustment points are positioned horizontally to minimize pressure on the top of the foot, a sensitive area with many blood vessels. This design helps reduce constriction and the risk of restricted circulation, providing a comfortable fit without excessive pressure, even during extended wear.



The sole features a three-layer construction consisting of a footbed, midsole, and outsole. The footbed, which comes into direct contact with the foot, is made from highly resilient EVA material and features pronounced arch support. Its firm, bamboo-foot-massager-like pressure helps support the arch when it flattens with fatigue, while promoting circulation in the feet to help relieve tiredness.



The midsole is designed to wrap around the foot, providing the right level of firmness to prevent excessive sinking. This helps stabilize the foot during walking and reduce unnecessary muscle effort that can contribute to fatigue.



The outsole features deep lugs that provide better traction than those of typical sneakers. A waterproof TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) layer wraps around the lower 2 cm of the sole, helping prevent snow and water from entering from below. Despite its relatively thick sole, the shoe offers a stable feel underfoot, providing added confidence when walking on ski slopes or across uneven parking areas.



The heel features a soft, highly resilient material that helps it retain its shape, allowing you to slip your feet in easily without worrying about crushing or damaging the heel. The low-cut design makes the shoes easy to slip on and off, whether inside the car, beside the vehicle, or when changing into boots.
